About Pixie
About Me:
🦴 Must meet all family members in the home
🦴 Open to meet kids - all ages
🦴 Ongoing training and socialisation
🦴 Puppy classes
Meet Pixie,
Pixie may be young, but she’s already proving to be one clever little pup! She’s mastered the art of sitting and is picking up new tricks in her stride, as though she’s been doing this whole puppy thing for years. She’s a lovely balance of playful and calm, smart and silly, cheeky and well-behaved. With her affectionate nature and surprisingly patient manners, Pixie has already managed to wrap quite a few people around her little paw.
Easy-going, gentle and quietly confident in her own little way, Pixie seems to have figured out that being a good girl comes naturally. She’s patient, respectful and knows when it’s time to play and when it’s time to settle. For such a little pup, Pixie has an awfully big list of wonderful qualities - and she's only just getting started!
In addition...
Pixie would love a yard, with high secure fencing, so that she can play in it safely, as well as daily exercise/walks. Toys and food puzzles are a great way of keeping active puppy minds engaged!
Pixie should be enrolled into puppy training classes as soon as she is adopted. These classes will set her up for life and will allow her to learn social skills & etiquette, as well as define her manners. These classes & training will also teach her how to appropriately interact with other animals & people.
Crate training should be considered - this type of training is a valuable skill to have and is a great skill for any dog to learn and know.

Post Adoption Life:
With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
