About Bandit STA015273
Meet Bandit, a handsome gentleman with a gentle soul who is slowly learning that humans aren't so scary after all. Bandit came to us as a terrified stray, and while we don't know his story, it's clear he hasn't had much reason to trust people. But day by day, this beautiful boy is showing us little glimpses of the sweetheart hiding beneath his worried exterior. He wants to trust, he just needs someone special to show him that love and kindness are worth taking a chance on.
Bandit is still quite nervous and will need plenty of time, patience and gentle encouragement to feel safe and secure in his forever home. He's not the kind of fellow who will settle in overnight, but every little step forward will be worth celebrating. Interestingly, Bandit has shown an interest in his fellow felines while in our care, so he may benefit from having a friendly, confident feline companion to show him the ropes and help build his courage.
This gorgeous boy is looking for a calm, understanding home with someone who can see beyond his shyness and recognise the beautiful personality waiting to blossom. Bandit doesn't need grand gestures, just a gentle hand, a loving heart and someone willing to give him all the time he needs. If you have the patience to win his trust and the love to help him flourish, you might just be the special person who sweeps this handsome boy off his paws and into a wonderful new life!

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
