About Petunia SUK015793
Meet Petunia, a sweet teenager who is still discovering that humans can be a wonderful source of love, delicious food and plenty of playtime! This gorgeous girl is a work in progress, slowly learning that people can be trusted and that life as a much-loved family member can be pretty special. She's not quite ready to throw herself into your arms, but with time, patience and gentle encouragement, her confidence will continue to grow.
Petunia would benefit greatly from sharing her forever home with a confident, friendly feline companion who can show her the ropes. Having a feline friend to lead by example will help her build courage, learn to trust and discover that the world isn't such a scary place after all. Of course, having a buddy to chase, play with and share adventures with would be an added bonus!
This lovely girl is looking for a patient, understanding family who will allow her to blossom at her own pace without any pressure or expectations. Petunia may not be an instant cuddle companion, but watching her confidence grow and her sweet personality emerge will be incredibly rewarding. If you have a gentle heart, a peaceful home and a friendly feline looking for a new bestie, Petunia could be the perfect addition to your family!

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
