About Mason
Mason knows what it feels like to have a home, which is probably why shelter life feels especially strange to him right now.
After being surrendered, this gentle boy has been quietly taking everything in, often choosing to stay tucked away while he works out what has happened and who he can trust.
Even when he's unsure, Mason has been incredibly sweet. He'll sniff an offered hand, accept gentle pats and tolerate handling without making a fuss. He isn't the kind of cat who is going to rush forward demanding attention straight away, but there's something really endearing about how quietly he lets people into his space when they approach him with patience.
What Mason needs most is a chance to feel settled again. A calm home, a predictable routine and someone willing to let him come out of his shell at his own pace could make such a difference for him. Once he realises he's home and everything is safe again, we'd love to see the relaxed, comfortable cat underneath all those shelter nerves finally come through.
We encourage you to come and meet Mason at our North Melbourne shelter as soon as possible, as our cats cannot be placed on hold.
