About Jasper
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- At home as much as you are out and about or have a medium/large doggie companion for Jasper
Jasper is a very gentle, affectionate boy who lives for pats and cuddles. He loves being inside and is quiet and well behaved, lying in his bed enjoying the good life! 💜 🏠 💜
Jasper loves to go on walks and has taken all new experiences in his stride. He walks nicely on the lead without pulling even though he is very interested in the new, big world he has found himself in. He walks quietly past other dogs and is friendly with similar size dogs but isn't yet sure what to make of small ones.
He is currently living with another male greyhound but would be fine on his own if people are around most of the time.
Jasper is eagerly waiting to be someone's best friend and will be a gentle, loving companion anyone would be lucky to have! 💜💜
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]

Adoption details
Step 1 – Complete an application form

Step 2 – If your circumstances suit a dog, we will call you for a chat to provide you with more information about the dog and answer any questions you may have. If you wish to proceed with the adoption we will arrange a time for a Meet & Greet and a home yard inspection to ensure adequate fencing and shelter is provided for the dog.
Step 3 - A meet and greet will be held with your family and any other pets you may have. All dogs are to be met in person.
Step 4 - If all parties are happy to proceed with the adoption, the adoption fee is to be paid and you will have a 14 day trial period. If at any time in that 14 days you find you cannot keep your dog, they can be returned to R2R and the adoption fee refunded less an admin fee.
At the time of adoption you will receive an adoption pack which will include:-
- Collar & Lead
- Muzzle
- Polar Fleece Coat
- Certificate of Sterilisation
- Certificate of Vaccination
- Information on caring for your greyhound
- Worming & Flea treatment dates
- Access to our private Facebook page for R2R Adopters and volunteers
