About Space
Space (Bear) is an adorable black boy with a zest for life who loves everyone he meets.
His nickname Bear comes from his fluffy coat and his desire for cuddles!
He loves his walks and currently enjoys around 2km, with his fitness and pace steadily improving. Two shorter walks a day may suit him well. He walks nicely on lead and is keen to say hello to everyone he sees. He really likes to say hello to dogs of all sizes. Little dogs still confuse him a bit.
At home, Bear is relaxed and affectionate. He enjoys toys and the occasional burst of zoomies when his playful puppy side comes out. He has loved every adult and child he has met, with his favourite people so far being my husband and 6-year-old niece. As he enjoys playing, some continued work on being calm around younger children would be beneficial.
Bear is very food-motivated and enthusiastic about getting into the car. He sleeps through the night, uses the doggy door and happily settles while his family is at work. When you come home, he will greet you enthusiastically, celebrate with a few zoomies, maybe fill you in on his day and then happily return to the couch for cuddles.
As a young inquisitive puppy he got his nose caught in a fence and still wears the scar proudly, but it doesn't affect him at all and he raced successfully.
Bear would be fine as a solo dog, although his friendly demeanour when meeting other dogs suggests he may also enjoy having a canine companion.
He isn't particularly boisterous and much prefers cuddles, offering his paw of more to his chosen person. He is the sort of dog who will happily lie on the grass beside you or settle on his bed while you make dinner.
Bear is a loving, easy-going boy who would make a wonderful companion.
