About Miri
Beautiful Miri 💗
Miri is a 14-month-old Boxer x Staffy x Kelpie with the biggest heart and so much love to give.
Miri has had a tough start, but her happy, affectionate nature has always shone through. She is happiest when her people are close and loves nothing more than being part of the family.
She loves her walks, a good game of tug-of-war and, of course, a comfy spot on her bed after a busy day. She’s an indoor girl who is very happy to settle on her bed and loves going for a drive.
Miri is currently living in a small unit and gets around four walks a day. She is getting much better on the lead and is learning not to pull, with her recall also continuing to improve. She knows how to sit, wait for her dinner and wait until it’s safe to cross the road, and she’s toilet trained.
When left alone after a good walk, Miri will generally settle down and sleep. However, if she is left for long periods without enough exercise and stimulation, she can become destructive. For this reason, she would be best suited to a home where someone is around for most of the day and who can continue giving her plenty of exercise, attention and enrichment.
Miri hasn’t had much opportunity to socialise with other dogs until now, so this is an area she is still learning. She can become excited and vocal when she sees other dogs, but she is improving with consistent training and guidance. We think she could really benefit from having a confident, well-socialised dog as a companion who can be a positive influence and help her continue learning appropriate doggy manners.
Miri does have a strong chase instinct, so she would not be suitable for a home with cats and would need to be managed around smaller animals.
She can be a little unsure of new people and may bark initially, but she warms up quickly. She is more cautious around men and can get a little excited and jump up, so her new family will need to continue working on calm greetings and boundaries.
Miri would be best suited to an active household with adults who are comfortable managing a strong, energetic young dog and are committed to continuing her training. She would love a secure yard where she can safely stretch her legs and play, while still being very much part of the family inside.
Miri has so much potential and is such a loving, happy girl. She just needs someone willing to give her the consistency, exercise and guidance she deserves while she continues to grow into the wonderful dog she is becoming. 💗
