About Harley
🐾❤️ MEET HARLEY – YOUR ADVENTURE BUDDY, FETCH CHAMPION & PROFESSIONAL CUDDLE BUG! ❤️🐾
If you’re looking for a dog who is ready to be part of the family, come along on adventures, play fetch until her legs say “enough!” and then curl up on the couch for a cuddle, Harley might just be your girl. 🥰
🐶 A LITTLE ABOUT HARLEY
Harley is a gorgeous 4 years and 9 months old English Springer Spaniel who is happy, energetic, clever and incredibly affectionate.
Harley came into the Rescue through a private surrender, through no fault of her own. The rescue has completed all of her veterinary work, and she is now ready to find the family who will make her part of their lives for good. ❤️
She is one of those dogs who wants to know exactly what her humans are doing at all times. If you get up, she’s coming. If you go outside, she’s coming. If there’s something happening, Harley would like to know why she wasn’t invited! 😂
She absolutely loves being part of family life and thrives when she is included in the everyday things.
🎾 LET THE ADVENTURES BEGIN!
Harley is definitely an adventure kind of girl.
She loves walks, exploring, sniffing, car rides, paddling in the river and, of course, her absolute favourite… FETCH!
Give this girl a ball on a rope and she is in her element. She will happily chase it, bring it back and do it all over again.
She also has a favourite soft toy that she loves carrying around the house, usually looking extremely proud of herself as she wanders past with it firmly clamped in her mouth. 😂
Harley would love an active family who enjoys getting out and about and can give her plenty of opportunities to use her body and her clever Springer brain.
🛋️ BUT SHE LOVES A GOOD CUDDLE TOO!
Once Harley has had her daily dose of adventure, she is very happy to switch gears.
She loves the couch, loves cuddles and is perfectly happy curling up beside her people or putting her head in your lap.
She even sleeps in bed with her humans. ❤️
Harley is very much an inside dog. She doesn't want to spend her days outside while her family is inside — she wants to be where her people are and involved in whatever is happening.
Basically, Harley's ideal day involves adventure → fetch → food → cuddles → nap → repeat! 😂
🧠 CLEVER GIRL!
Harley is a smart girl and really enjoys learning.
She already knows sit, wait, lie down, fetch and basic manners, and she is very motivated by treats, affection and attention.
She is a great girl to train because she enjoys working with her people and loves being rewarded.
There is still some training to continue, particularly around her excitement levels, but Harley is very willing to learn.
😂 A LITTLE TOO EXCITED SOMETIMES!
Harley can get VERY excited when her favourite people come home.
Sometimes that excitement means her four paws temporarily forget they are supposed to stay on the floor! 😂
Her foster family has been working with her on calmer greetings, and she is learning that saying hello doesn't have to involve launching herself at everyone.
She is wonderful with children and has lived with kids while in care.
🐕 FRIENDS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME
Harley absolutely loves other dogs and would ideally have a canine companion in her forever home.
A calm, confident older dog would be particularly well suited to her, as Harley enjoys having another dog around and can benefit from a steady friend who helps her settle when her enthusiasm gets the better of her.
She is currently happily living with other dogs and loves to have a play.
🚶♀️ WALKING IS A BIG YES!
Harley doesn't just tolerate walks…
She LOVES them! 🐾
She walks beautifully on lead, she happily walks alongside other dogs without making a fuss.
She has good energy and would love a family who enjoys getting outside and exploring. Whether it's a daily walk, a game of fetch or a weekend adventure, Harley will be very happy to come along.
🏡 LIFE AROUND THE HOME
Harley is toilet trained and has been coping well when left at home while her foster parents work a few days a week from the office and also from home - Harley would love to have the company of another dog.
She wants to be included in family life and would suit a home where she can spend plenty of time with her people.
She is not suited to being an outside only dog and will need a family who understands that being included is a very important part of Harley's happiness.
🐱 WHAT ABOUT CATS?
Harley is not cat tested.
✂️ GROOMING
Harley is a Springer Spaniel, so her gorgeous coat will need regular brushing and routine professional grooming.
She has been professionally groomed in foster care and is a very good girl for her grooming sessions. ❤️
❤️ HER FOREVER HOME
Harley is looking for an active, loving family with another suitable dog, who will continue her training, include her in their adventures and make her a genuine part of the family.
She wants to go for walks, play fetch, explore the world, come along for adventures, curl up on the couch and follow her humans around making sure she doesn't miss anything important.
She isn't looking for a backyard to live in.
She is looking for a family to live life with. ❤️
Harley has so much love, fun and personality to give, and whoever gets this beautiful girl will certainly never be bored!

Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption - each bio will state if available for adoption - please check before applying.
