🐾 MEET KOA

Meet gorgeous little Koa, one of Stella's beautiful puppies, born into ARK care and surrounded by love from her very first day.

Her mum, Stella, is a particularly lovely Kelpie with a gentle, affectionate nature. Stella came to us from the pound in the early stages of pregnancy, and we have had the pleasure of watching her raise her puppies in the safety and comfort of a wonderful foster home.

Dad's identity remains a mystery, although our vet suspects he was a Border Collie. If that's the case, Koa has inherited the makings of a very clever, energetic and devoted family companion.

At 4.5 kg, Koa is growing beautifully and is expected to be a medium-sized dog when fully grown.

🏡 A WONDERFUL FAMILY UPBRINGING

Koa has had the sort of start in life we wish every puppy could enjoy.

She's been raised in a busy, affectionate household with four children, where cuddles, playtime and gentle handling are all part of everyday life.

She's also had the company of the family's resident dog, affectionately known as Uncle Finny, and their cat, Uncle Fergus!

Growing up among children, another dog and a cat has given Koa valuable early socialisation and a wonderful introduction to family life.

Of course, she'll still need plenty of guidance, training and new experiences as she grows, but her foster family has given her an excellent foundation.

💕 THE HOME WE'RE HOPING FOR

With Kelpie and possibly Border Collie heritage, Koa is likely to develop into an intelligent, active dog who will thrive with an involved and affectionate family.

She'll need regular exercise, mental stimulation, patient training and secure fencing. A friendly canine companion would be lovely, although she'd also be happy as an only dog in a home where she receives plenty of attention and companionship.

Above all, Koa needs a family who will include her in everyday life, welcome her indoors and give her the affection and security every dog deserves.

✂️ DEFERRED DESEXING

Koa will be adopted under ARK's Deferred Desexing Program. She must not be permitted to breed and must be desexed by 24 May 2027.

The cost of desexing is covered by the adoption fee, subject to the terms and conditions of ARK's Deferred Desexing Puppy Adoption Contract.

We welcome applications from interstate and are happy to assist with transport advice, obtaining quotations and making the necessary arrangements.

❤️ A VERY LUCKY LITTLE PUPPY

Koa and her siblings have been fortunate enough to know warmth, security and affection from the moment they were born. Their beautiful mum Stella has cared for them devotedly, and their foster family has ensured they've wanted for nothing.

Now it's Koa's turn to find a family of her very own — one who will love her just as much as she's been loved from the beginning.
