Petal and Butters are a beautiful bonded pair of Chihuahuas looking for a soft place to land.

These two little girls haven’t had the opportunity to experience a normal life, so they are now looking for a special home where they can finally feel safe, secure and loved. They will need guardians who understand that trust takes time and are willing to take things slowly, allowing them to settle in at their own pace.

A quiet lifestyle will suit Petal and Butters best. They would love a calm home with people who can provide them with patience, consistency and plenty of reassurance as they learn what it means to feel safe and comfortable in their surroundings.

Their new home will need to be one where they have indoor and outdoor access, with a secure yard that has no holes or gaps in the fencing. They are not suited to apartment living. Children in the home will need to be 15 years or older.

Petal and Butters can be a little selective when it comes to their doggy friends, so if there is another dog already living in the home, they will need to come along for a meet and greet to make sure everyone is the right fit. Any resident dog will also need to be of a similar size.

Most importantly, these girls need to stay together. They have each other to lean on as they navigate this new chapter, and their bond will be an important part of helping them feel secure.

Petal and Butters may need some time, patience and understanding, but with the right family and a quiet place to call home, these sweet girls can begin to discover all the wonderful things life has to offer.
