FRIENDLY GIRL!
- Nigella is an adventurous and social girl who's looking for a calm home with people happy to hang out with her and keep her entertained.
- She's not a lap cat but she loves being close beside you, following you around the house and often coming to set next to you on the couch.
- Nigella loves to be pet on her head (not her tummy!) and doesn’t mind a brush. She has long fur so needs regular brushing.
- She loves playing chase with toys and exploring inside cupboards.
- She is litter trained and very tidy.
- Nigella is quite confident and happy for strangers to come up to her for a pat. She is also unfazed about being picked up but will try to escape out an open door and head outside at an opportunity so caution is required if you don't have a secure outdoor enclosure or catio.
- Nigella gets along well with her male foster cat and is warming up to her large foster dog.
- Nigella would suit a home with a family with older kids or someone who is looking for a companion as she really loves company best.

Our adoption process includes a two-week trial period to ensure you and your adopted pet are the right fit.
The adoption fee of $300 includes desexing, vaccination, microchip (including transfer of ownership), flea and worm treatment and vet check.
SAFE Busselton requests that all persons adopting a cat adhere to responsible containment practices. As per the current Cat Laws in WA we encourage people to keep their rescued cat as a permanent indoor cat or with access to a safe cat run. It is no longer desirable to allow your cat to wander onto adjoining properties. Confident cats can also be trained to walk on a harness and lead. We ask that owners be responsible and keep their adopted cat safe at all times so that you will have a long and loving life together. Information on cat enclosures can be found here: https://safe.org.au/catios
SAFE Busselton reserves the right to select adoptive homes based on “best fit” for the pet. Although all applications will be considered, being the first application will not necessarily provide an advantage as the adoption committee considers many factors when matching animals to their new home.
