About Yuki
Meet Yuki a 5-year-old pure white gentleman and part-time comedy act, whose name could not be more perfect.
In Japanese, Yuki most commonly means “snow” - the classic choice for a beautiful white cat - and it can also mean “happiness” or “good fortune.” Fans of Studio Ghibli may also recognize the name from The Cat Returns, where a sweet, elegant white cat named Yuki helps guide the main character through the Cat Kingdom.
Our Yuki is every bit as gentle and kind-hearted as his animated namesake… with an extra side of glorious clumsiness.
Yuki was deeply loved by his previous family, but a change in living circumstances meant they could no longer give him the life he deserves. They reached out to us so this sweet boy could find a new home filled with the same care and companionship he is used to. He comes from a warm household and has a mountain of unconditional love ready to give.
At his core Yuki is an incredibly loving, gentle and kind-hearted soul. He is happiest curled up beside you for a quiet cuddle while you watch a movie, and human companionship means the world to him. He loves affection, quality time and simply being near his people. He can be a little shy and anxious when first meeting new faces, but once he feels safe he forms strong, lasting bonds and will love you completely.
Yuki also has a wonderfully playful and hilarious side. When hunger strikes he gets the funniest case of the zoomies - racing around the house with so much enthusiasm that he often misjudges corners or slides straight into furniture. It’s pure comedy and one of his cutest quirks. His general goofy clumsiness was a constant source of amusement for his previous family, and it only makes him more endearing.
A few practical notes: Yuki is not a fan of the cat carrier and can get nervous during car rides, so a little extra care (and a pee pad just in case) helps on trips to the vet.
He has a very gentle nature and should do well with other cats or animals if introductions are slow, calm and patient.
Yuki is looking for a home where his soft heart can feel secure and his clumsy, joyful personality can keep everyone smiling. Whether you need a gentle movie-night companion, a little daily dose of happiness, or a white cat who occasionally turns the hallway into a slapstick routine, this sweet boy is ready to bring the snow, the fortune and the fun.
This snow white fluffy ball of happiness and good fortune is approximately 5 years old, has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and is located with his amazing foster family in Berwick.
If you can offer Yuki the loving, patient home he deserves, please get in touch. This gentle, goofy gentleman is waiting for his next chapter.
About Us
Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.
Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.
Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.
As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.
All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.
Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
How You Can Help

We are always in need of foster carers. If you have a safe, loving temporary home and would like to help us care for a cat on their journey to their forever family, please get in touch. The more foster homes we have, the more cats we can save.

Adoption details
We try to make things very easy and straight forward while at the same time making sure we are matching the right cat to the right home.
The first step in the adoption process is a quick chat over the phone to make you are able meet the cats needs and your home is a good fit for the cats personality.
From there we will organize a meet and greet the cats foster home where you will be able to see the cat in action and get a gauge of their personality.
Once you have adopted you new furry feline friend we offer ongoing support and you are welcome to contact us anytime if you have questions, concerns or need advice.
We work hard to make sure that each cat is a good fit for their new home but in the unlikely even that things do not work out we have a 21 day cooling off period and you are more than welcome to return the cat to us during that time.
We will happily refund 50% of the adoption fee or you are welcome to donate this refund to assist with the ongoing cost of the animals care.
