About Bella & Bello
Meet Bella the beautiful and Bello the handsome, an inseparable pair of 8-year-old fluffballs whose names say it all.
In Italian and Spanish, Bella means “beautiful” or “lovely” and Bello means “handsome” or “beautiful” so these two are literally the Beautiful Girl and the Handsome Boy. And they live up to it in every way.
Their previous owner had to move into aged care and, with a heavy heart, couldn’t take them with her. A kind person stepped in and looked after this adorable duo until our rescue could take them on. Now they’re ready for their next chapter, preferably one they can walk into together.
Bello is pure sunshine in cat form. Confident, social, curious and incredibly affectionate, he’s basically a fluffy white dog trapped in a cat’s body. You can hold him upside down, ruffle his fur, or do just about anything and he won’t bat an eyelid. He’s just a big, soft, happy ball of love. He adores people and will always want to be part of whatever you’re doing, following you around and inserting himself into every activity with cheerful enthusiasm.
Bella is cut from the same loving cloth, but a little more reserved at first. While Bello will charge out of the carrier ready to explore, Bella prefers to hide for the first few days in a new place before quietly emerging to see what mischief her brother has been getting into. Once she feels safe she is just as affectionate, gentle and people-oriented as he is. A soft, loving girl who thrives on quiet companionship.
Together they are the ultimate low-maintenance, high-reward pair. Incredibly loving, gentle and adaptable, they would suit almost any household. Screaming toddlers probably aren’t their idea of a perfect day (though they’d tolerate them), but they would be wonderful family cats for older children, ideal lap-warmers for a pair of retirees who each want a fluffy companion, or perfect company for a single person or couple who simply want two soft, affectionate shadows around the house.
Bella and Bello have already been through a big life change and come out the other side still full of love. All they need now is a calm, caring home where they can continue being each other’s best friend, and yours.
This beautiful girl and handsome boy are approximately 8 years old, have been desexed, microchipped and vaccinated, and are located in Blackburn with their amazing foster mum.
If you’re looking for two beautiful, handsome, easy-going cats who will fill your home with quiet affection and gentle company, this lovely pair could be just right. Please get in touch if you think you can offer Bella and Bello their happily-ever-after.
About Us
Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.
Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.
Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.
As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.
All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.
Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
How You Can Help
As a small, independent rescue, we depend entirely on the kindness and generosity of our supporters and animal lovers like you. We are always in need of foster carers. If you have a safe, loving temporary home and would like to help us care for a cat on their journey to their forever family, please get in touch. The more foster homes we have, the more cats we can save.

Adoption details
We try to make things very easy and straight forward while at the same time making sure we are matching the right cat to the right home.
The first step in the adoption process is a quick chat over the phone to make you are able meet the cats needs and your home is a good fit for the cats personality.
From there we will organize a meet and greet the cats foster home where you will be able to see the cat in action and get a gauge of their personality.
Once you have adopted you new furry feline friend we offer ongoing support and you are welcome to contact us anytime if you have questions, concerns or need advice.
We work hard to make sure that each cat is a good fit for their new home but in the unlikely even that things do not work out we have a 21 day cooling off period and you are more than welcome to return the cat to us during that time.
We will happily refund 50% of the adoption fee or you are welcome to donate this refund to assist with the ongoing cost of the animals care.
