Meet Lavender 💜
Lavender is a lovely young girl who’s still finding her confidence and learning to feel safe in the world. At around two years old, she has plenty of personality waiting to shine through and with a patient, understanding human by her side, we hope to see more of the real Lavender blossom.
She’s an independent soul who enjoys having her own space, whether that means relaxing in the backyard or finding a quiet spot in another room. But don’t let that fool you, Lavender is also happy to enjoy a cuddle when she’s in the mood! She’s pleased to see people and enjoys their company, without needing constant attention.
Lavender absolutely loves toys, especially chasing balls and having a good game! She also enjoys chasing birds and is quite the little toy destroyer, happily chewing and pulling them apart. She’s food motivated, which is great news for anyone keen to help her learn and build confidence through positive reinforcement. In fact, she mastered using a dog door after just one day of training — clever girl!
Lavender is house trained and would love a secure backyard where she can stretch her legs, play and decompress in her own space.
Lavender can be timid in some situations and needs a little extra support to feel comfortable, particularly around unfamiliar people and other dogs. She can be reactive to dogs on walks and would be best suited as the only dog in the household. She can also be vocal when left home alone at times, and longer car trips aren’t really her thing, so shorter journeys are best for now.
What Lavender needs most is someone who understands that confidence takes time. Someone who won’t rush her, will respect her boundaries and will celebrate the little wins along the way. With patience, consistency and a safe environment, Lavender deserves the chance to relax, feel secure and let her beautiful personality shine.
If you have:
☑️ A secure backyard for playtime and relaxation
☑️ A calm, patient home with no children under 16
☑️ Experience or an interest in helping a dog build confidence
☑️ The ability to provide positive, reward-based training and support with dog reactivity
☑️ A home where she can be the only dog
☑️ An appreciation for an independent girl who enjoys affection on her own terms
…then Lavender could be the companion you’ve been looking for! 💜
