💻 Meet Steve from IT. 18 month old 6.5kg Dachshund.
Steve is not your average Dachshund, this guy is pretty chill and has loved every person and nearly every dog he’s met so far. Steve is not reactive on lead and loves a slow sniff-ari to read the pee-mails.
Steve will need a family committed to continuing his positive socialisation. Steve didn’t see much of the world until very recently so every experience to him is new. He needs daily walks and breed specific enrichment.
Steve loves hopping in the car for a short drive, especially if it is to the park. He is inquisitive and loves being part of the action. He is cafe tested and loves chilling at the cafe on a lap. He is thriving on a complete fresh food diet and loves raw veg snacks so keeping him on fresh food diet is important.
Steve has gained confidence living with other dachshunds and will enjoy a young doggy friend to play with or he would be happy being an only dog with his humans who make him part of their every day lives as long as there are plenty of experiences for doggy play dates. He’d be happy to go to the office with you. He is not suitable to be left alone at home for long hours.
He has not been tested with cats and will be suited to children over five years old who are dog savvy and careful of a dachshund’s delicate back.

He is in foster care in New Lambton, NSW. He is not available for adoption interstate.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal cheques.
