Daisy

Daisy is a gorgeous dog with a truly beautiful temperament. She loves cuddles and belly rubs.
She was rescued from a horrific back-yard breeding situation where she was caged in a cramped shed with many other dogs. While in foster care she has been learning how to live in a home, use a dog door, walk on a lead etc.
Daisy is looking for her happily ever after. For her this looks like:
• Someone home most of the time. When her family are out Daisy just sits in the window and waits. She likes to be close to her humans.
• Another small dog/s for company and playtime.
• Daisy enjoys being around children and could live with dog savvy kids 8 + who can give her space when she needs it, and be respectful of her gentle, submissive nature.
• A family who can take her out on adventures and show her more of the world. In her previous life Daisy had very little exposure and many things are still new to her. She enjoys getting out and about but can be a little unsure in new situations.
• Owners who are mindful of her past and can offer gentle reassurance while she gets used to household noises and activities as she settles in.
• Her family will need to be committed to coat maintenance, brushing every other day, eye cleaning and grooming every 6 weeks.

Daisy is currently living with small dogs and has been happy to meet dogs of all sizes. She hasn’t been properly tested with cats, but has chased a neighbourhood cat that comes into the yard. She is living with free-ranging chickens with no problem.
Daisy is very enthusiastic about walks and likes to keep a brisk pace. She needs some work on not pulling. She gets very excited to meet other dogs but can be very full on so needs ongoing work on her approach. Daisy loves to run!
Daisy loves to share the couch or bed, but can’t jump so needs to be lifted on and off. She is learning about toys and likes small balls and things that squeak.
Daisy is a beautiful dog and is looking for an exceptional home. She has been treated awfully in the past and now it is time for her to be pampered and adored like she should be.
