Baz was rescued from Geraldton pound

Baz, a gorgeous 12‑year‑old Staffy with a heart far bigger than his body. Typical of his breed. If he had his way, he’d spend every day glued to your side, soaking up pats, belly rubs and any scrap of affection you’re willing to offer. His tail never stops - it’s basically a metronome of happiness.

Baz is carrying a few extra kilos (aren’t we all), so he’ll benefit from a healthy diet and steady routine.

He loves his twice daily slow sniffy walks! 10 minutes max each walk is enough at the moment though otherwise he pulls up sore.

With other dogs he’s been friendly and playful, though when he gets tired he can become frustrated and snappy - just a grumpy old boy needing his space.

He’s also a bit too enthusiastic about cats, so he’s looking for a home with no other pets where he can be the centre of the universe.

Being an older boy, he is on a few medications:

- Cardisure tablets: 1/2 a tablet twice daily for this (he happily takes it covered with a tiny bit of peanut butter!) for his enlarged heart/heart murmur

- Meloxicam oral liquid: once a day with dinner for his arthritis

- Fluoxetine tablets: once daily ongoing for his anxiety

Baz does have some anxiety, but in a calm, predictable home he’ll settle beautifully.

He’s a sweet, affectionate soul who wants nothing more than a human to love, a couch to share, and a safe place to finally exhale!
