🤗🪲 INTRODUCING DARLA 🪲🤗
Hi, I’m Darla! I’m a gorgeous, affectionate girl whose favourite place in the world is right beside my humans. After my rough start to life, it’s now my turn to find my very special family.
Nature
I’m a total cuddlebug! I love snuggling beside you, on you (curling up half on and half off your chest or tummy is my signature move), or settling between your legs. I also love following my people around the house.
I’m not a big fan of closed doors or barriers because I want to be wherever you are. Ideally, I want to be right next to you… or even better, touching you!
Although cuddling is definitely one of my greatest talents, I have a playful side too! I enjoy playing with a feather on a stick, love a game of bitey hand, and particularly enjoy those classic cat games where we sneak up on each other before launching into a chase.
I’m wonderfully floppy and seem to love being picked up and held like a baby. I’ll also happily flop over for a belly rub, and I’m very good at letting you know when I’m ready for more cuddles. I might even grab your hand and pull it back towards me if you think you’ve finished patting me too soon!
I have wonderful litter manners, too!
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I’m currently untested with dogs. Given my calm and easygoing nature, I might be okay living with a cat-savvy dog, provided we’re introduced slowly and carefully.
I’ve met the other foster cats in my home, and I’m keen to make friends with them! I can be a little enthusiastic and perhaps a bit full-on in my attempts to interact, so I would probably be happiest living with another confident, social kitty who won’t be overwhelmed by my enthusiasm.
That said, I’d also be perfectly happy being your one and only. In fact, I wouldn’t complain about having all the cuddles and attention to myself!
I could also be suitable for respectful children who understand how to interact gently with cats.
Likes / Dislikes
❤️I looooove:
• Snuggling beside my person or people
• Curling up on your chest, tummy or between your legs
• Belly scratches
• Investigating things
• Rubbing myself against your feet
• Following you around the house
• Feather-on-a-stick games
• Bitey hand
• Sneaking up on each other and having a good chase
• Lots and lots of scratches and attention
🚫 I’m not so much a fan of:
• Being separated from you
• Closed doors (did I mention closed doors?)
• When cuddle time ends before I’m ready!
I’m also a pretty tolerant girl. Loud noises and sudden movements generally don’t bother me much, and if something does give me a fright, I’m easily comforted by my human.
My PURR-fect home would be one where I can be part of the family and included in everyday life. I’d love to follow my people around, curl up beside them on the sofa, sleep on the bed and generally be wherever the action is, because I don’t want to be left on the sidelines! I could happily be your one and only or potentially share my home with a confident, friendly furry companion, as long as my new family has plenty of cuddles, playtime and affection to give.
Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.
