Introducing Darren,

Darren is a super sweet pup, looking for a family with experience with the staffy breed who can help him grow into a calm, confident and happy dog!

Darren has found shelter life quite stressful and would love a calm, quiet home environment with adults only while he gets settled in his own time. He'll need some help from his adopters to teach him some appropriate outlets to manage stressful situations.

He does love his people, but is still learning how to keep his greeting calm and polite, so he would benefit from ongoing, positive reinforcement training to help control his excitement. He absolutely LOVES his food, so we think he'll do super well using treats as rewards!

Darren shows a lot of positive behaviours when meeting other dogs, but is very overwhelmed by his current environment. He may be suitable to live with a dog who can match his playful energy and show him the ropes of his new home, but their interactions will need to be supervised until both dogs become more comfortable with each other. If you do have a dog looking for a friend, bring them in so they can meet Darren too!

We know Darren might need a little extra help starting his new life, but we know with patience, love and a whole lot of treats, Darren will become your best friend in no time!
