About Pickle
Meet Pickle, a fun, affectionate and extremely social little tuxedo gentleman who believes every activity is better when it’s a team sport.
Pickle was found as a tiny stray kitten and quickly stole the hearts of the couple who took him in. They fostered him, fell in love with his quirky personality, and officially made him part of the family. Life was perfect… until they unexpectedly had to leave the country. A planned stay with a friend fell through at the last minute, so Pickle is now safely settled with his wonderful foster family (and their two tuxedo housemates) in Hughesdale while we find him his next forever home.
This boy is the definition of a little shadow. Whether you’re working at the computer, stretching on the floor, or simply trying to have a moment of peace in the bathroom, Pickle will be right there, ready to supervise, assist, or climb all over you to make sure he’s the centre of attention. He is not subtle about wanting company and will cheekily insert himself into whatever you’re doing.
He’s a gentle soul full of love, with all the energy and playfulness you’d expect from a young cat.
Pickle can be a little shy when first meeting new people (he may hide for a while and then emerge once he feels safe), but once he’s comfortable he is pure affection.
He loves being petted, is happy to be picked up, and will happily curl up on a lap for evening cuddles. Feather toys are his absolute favourite, he prefers dry food, and he thrives on attention and fuss.
He’s fully litter-trained, desexed, microchipped, up to date with vaccines, and has no health concerns.
Because he’s such a social, people-oriented boy, Pickle would do best in a home that can give him plenty of interaction. Either a busy household with older children who love to play, or a home that already has a friendly cat he can wrestle and zoom around with.
He was previously an only pet but has settled happily with his foster brother and sister, also tuxedos, so a multi-cat home could be a great fit.
If you’re looking for a cheeky, loving little shadow who will follow you everywhere, demand his fair share of attention, and fill your home with play and purrs, Pickle is ready and waiting.
Please get in touch if you think you can offer this social young gentleman the fun, people-filled home he deserves.

About Us
Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.
Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.
Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.
As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.
All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.
Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
How You Can Help
As a small, independent rescue, we depend entirely on the kindness and generosity of our supporters and animal lovers like you. Following and sharing our pages helps us reach more potential adopters and supporters. If we can grow our audience, we’ll be able to generate a small ongoing income to sustain and expand the rescue.
We are always in need of foster carers. If you have a safe, loving temporary home and would like to help us care for a cat on their journey to their forever family, please get in touch. The more foster homes we have, the more cats we can save.

Adoption details
We try to make things very easy and straight forward while at the same time making sure we are matching the right cat to the right home.
The first step in the adoption process is a quick chat over the phone to make you are able meet the cats needs and your home is a good fit for the cats personality.
From there we will organize a meet and greet the cats foster home where you will be able to see the cat in action and get a gauge of their personality.
Once you have adopted you new furry feline friend we offer ongoing support and you are welcome to contact us anytime if you have questions, concerns or need advice.
We work hard to make sure that each cat is a good fit for their new home but in the unlikely even that things do not work out we have a 21 day cooling off period and you are more than welcome to return the cat to us during that time.
We will happily refund 50% of the adoption fee or you are welcome to donate this refund to assist with the ongoing cost of the animals care.
