About Blacky SUA015755
Meet Blacky, a handsome gentleman with a beautiful glossy black coat and stunning green eyes that are sure to capture your heart. This delightful fellow has a lovely, easy-going personality and is looking for a special someone to share his life with.
While Blacky is a sweetheart, he can find new environments and unfamiliar situations a little overwhelming. He will need some time, patience and understanding as he settles into his forever home and discovers that the world isn't such a scary place after all. Once he feels safe and comfortable, his delightful personality will shine through.
Blacky is a gentleman who likes to keep all four paws firmly on the ground, thank you very much! Being picked up isn't really his thing, and he would much prefer to enjoy life on his own terms. He dreams of a peaceful, quiet home where he can relax without too much hustle and bustle. Children and canines are definitely not on his wish list, so a calm home without either is a must.
If you're looking for a gorgeous, easy-going companion and have the patience to let him settle in at his own pace, Blacky could be the perfect addition to your home. Give him the peace, security and understanding he deserves, and you'll have a wonderful feline friend to share your days with.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
