Meet Turbo!

Turbo is a sweet, sensitive boy looking for a calm and quiet home where his new family will be happy to let him settle in at his own pace. Shelter life can be a little overwhelming for him, so he relies on gentle reassurance and encouragement when he’s feeling unsure. With patience, understanding, and a consistent routine, Turbo will continue to grow in confidence and form a strong bond with his family.

Turbo will need plenty of time to adjust to his new surroundings before being introduced to too many new experiences. During his settling-in period, he would benefit from a predictable routine, minimal visitors, and a safe indoor space where he can relax and feel secure. He must be allowed indoors with his family and given the freedom to settle wherever he feels most comfortable.

When Turbo is ready to start exploring the world, he will do best with quiet walks in peaceful locations rather than busy streets or crowded areas. Gentle sniff walks along bush tracks and other calm environments will help him build confidence while enjoying the sights and smells around him at his own pace.

Turbo may suit a home with older, calm, and respectful children who can understand his sensitive nature. Any children in the home will need to meet him prior to adoption. He can live with another dog but must meet any resident dogs first. Turbo can initially be a little worried, nervous, and tense when meeting new canine friends, however he softens with time and is able to interact appropriately. He would be best matched with a social, respectful female dog who can help him feel comfortable without overwhelming him.

For the right family willing to give him time, patience, and understanding, Turbo will be a loyal and rewarding companion who will blossom into a wonderful best friend.
