About Alfie -9 Month Old Chihuahua x Dachshund
Calling all lap dog lovers—meet Alfie, the 9-month-old male Chihuahua x Dachshund who is officially ready to steal your heart and claim your couch! True to his breed mix, Alfie's little legs were perfectly designed to lower his long body straight onto your lap. If you have an empty lap and a lot of love to give, he is ready to fill that space forever.
Here is everything you need to know about this pint-sized package of joy:
🐾 Personality & Traits
• The Ultimate Snuggler: Alfie takes cuddling very seriously. The second you sit down, he will happily curl up right against you, acting as your personal, low-riding pocket heater.
• Young & Playful: At just 9 months old, he still has that endearing puppy curiosity and charm. He loves a good morning sun session to warm up before a day of light play with his foster brother and deep napping.
• A Tiny Shadow: Alfie bonds deeply with his humans young and old. He wants nothing more than to follow you around, be your devoted sidekick, and tuck himself into soft blankets by your side.
🏡 Ideal Home
• Cozy & Patient: Like many small-breed pups, Alfie can start off just a little bit shy in new environments. He thrives with patient adopters who can give him a few treats and five minutes to realise he is completely safe—once he knows you're cool, he is your friend for life.
• Work-From-Home or Retirees: Because he thrives on human companionship, he would absolutely love a home where someone is around often to keep him company. It is a requirement he is able to be indoors in his forever home as he isn't the rugged outdoor type needing only a patch outside to stretch sniff and toilet.
• Secure Fencing: He might have short legs, but his Dachshund nose means he loves to sniff around a yard. A secure space to explore safely is highly recommended.
• Time and consistancy: Being a young pup Alfie will thrive on routine and regular training. Learning to go for walks on lead will be a new experience therefore slow build ups in confidence with regular training would be required to getting to know life on a walk can be fun.
