About Louie -9 Month Old Chihuahua x Dachshund
Meet Louie: Your Future Little Shadow & Best Friend! 🐾
At just 9 months old, Louie is a delightful Dachshund x Chihuahua who is bursting with love, personality, and puppy energy. Weighing in as a pint-sized package of pure joy, he is ready to find a forever home where he can continue learning how to be the best boy he can be
🏡 Louie's Ideal Home & Perfect Match
Louie has been growing up in a loving environment, but he has a unique set of needs that require a specific type of household to help him thrive:
A Patient & Consistent Leader: Louie has had no prior leash or lead exposure. The big world outside can feel a bit overwhelming right now! He needs an owner who understands that exploring the neighborhood will take time, patience, and slow, positive exposure.
Someone Home Often: Because he is young and still adjusting, Louie requires a family where someone is home more often than not to keep him company and continue his training.
A Four-Legged Sister: Louie would benefit immensely from having a calm, confident, adult female dog already in the home. He is looking for a doggy companion to "show him the ropes," build his confidence, and give him someone to play with.
Kids: He is currently staying with dog-respectful children and does well with them!
Training Status: Highly food-motivated and eager to learn for tasty treats!
Toilet Training: Mostly trained and knows exactly how to use a doggy door.
Louie is a blank slate when it comes to the great outdoors, but his clever mind, food motivation, and stellar indoor manners mean he has all the potential in the world. If you have the time, love, and a patient heart to show Louie how wonderful the world outside can be, he will reward you with a lifetime of loyalty and nighttime snuggles.
