Gracie is a gorgeous little tan Chihuahua cross with plenty of personality packed into her tiny four-year-old body. She is sweet, sassy, independent and incredibly observant, with a way of looking at you that makes you wonder just how much she understands.

Gracie loves affection, but she has the sweetest manners about asking for it. She will gently tap your hand with her paw, almost as if politely asking, “Excuse me, would it be okay if I came a little closer?” Once permission is granted, she is more than happy to settle in beside you for a cuddle.

She loves her walks, treats and relaxing on the couch close to her human. Gracie also adores her little cuddly toys and has a favourite that is particularly special to her. One of her cutest little routines is hiding her favourite toy somewhere safe in the evening before bedtime, ready to find again tomorrow.

At night, Gracie’s first choice would naturally be to snuggle up and sleep with you. However, she is quite happy to respect her own space and sleep in her little bed beside yours, or wherever her designated sleeping area may be.

Gracie is a very clever girl who seems to understand the house rules remarkably quickly. She knows which areas are off limits and is happy to respect those boundaries while still making the most of the places she is allowed, particularly the couch!

Gracie also likes to keep an eye on her home and will let you know when somebody is passing by. Once the excitement has passed, she settles back down again.

Because Gracie becomes very attached to her people, she would ideally suit a home where someone is around most of the time. She can become a little anxious and needy around goodbyes, and when you return home, you can expect plenty of excitement and an enthusiastic welcome. For this reason, a person or family where someone is home most of the time would likely be the best fit for Gracie and help her feel safe, secure and settled.

Perhaps the most endearing thing about Gracie is her wise and observant nature. Sit down and have a proper conversation with her and she will patiently listen, watching you as though she knows exactly what you are talking about. Whether she actually does is anybody’s guess, but those thoughtful little eyes certainly make a convincing argument!

A smart, sassy and very wise little soul wrapped up in the body of a four-year-old Chihuahua cross. Gracie is looking for someone who will appreciate her wonderful personality, her affection and, most importantly, being her favourite person to come home to.

Gracie is $370 to adopt and comes desexed, microchipped, C5 vaccinated, HW tested (negative) and given flea/tick/worm prevention.
