About Red
❤️ Meet Big Red! 🐾
1-year-old Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog | Available for Adoption
Big Red is a handsome young bloke with a beautiful nature, a big personality and so much love to give!
Red wants to cuddle, he wants to play, and he absolutely wants to be on your bed or in your lap!
This affectionate boy hasn’t quite realised he’s not a little dog. He loves being close to his people and would happily spend his evenings curled up beside you, preferably taking up a good portion of your bed!
❤️ A little about Red:
* Affectionate and cuddly! Red loves his people and genuinely believes he’s a lap dog.
* Playful and fun! He enjoys toys, games and a good romp with other dogs.
* Dog friendly! Red gets along with dogs of all sizes, big and small.
* Crate trained! He’s comfortable in his crate and knows how to settle.
* Travels well! Red is happy to jump in the car and come along for adventures.
* Learning his manners! He has reasonable lead manners and is developing his recall.
🏡 Red’s Perfect Home
While Red might look like a grown-up dog, he is still very much a puppy!
He has a genuinely lovely nature, but at just one year old, Red needs a family prepared to invest time in his training and development.
As a Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog, Red is intelligent, active and needs opportunities to use his brain and stretch his legs. He would love a home with space to move, people who enjoy spending time with their dogs and perhaps another playful dog for company.
Red came to us from a rural pound, so we don’t know much about his past. He’s still learning, and his new family will need to continue building his recall, confidence and general manners.
Red isn’t a finished product, and we wouldn’t expect him to be at his age. What he does have is a beautiful temperament, a playful personality and enormous potential.
He needs someone who understands that a young dog requires patience, consistency, training and time.
In return, you’ll have a loyal, affectionate companion who wants to be involved in everything you do — and will probably insist on sharing your pillow!
