About ✨ Quackers ✨
🦆 Quackers (aka Morgan Tilly)
From street mum to lady of leisure!
This young lady has quite the story to tell, and believe me, she's more than happy to have a chat about it with anyone willing to listen!
Meet Morgan Tilly, affectionately known as Quackers. And yes, there is a story behind that name!
After spending what was probably most of her life living on the streets, this beautiful girl was finally brought into foster care, heavily pregnant and ready for a fresh start.
The wonderful ladies who helped get her safely off the streets had seen her raise a previous litter, only to fall pregnant again shortly afterwards. Sadly, that's often how life goes for undesexed street cats.
Her official name, Morgan Tilly, was given in honour of two of the lovely ladies who helped rescue her. But it didn't take long for her foster carer to discover that her rather unique, chatty little meow sounded suspiciously like a duck. And just like that, Quackers was born! 🦆
Safe and sound in foster care, Quackers gave birth to five big, beautiful babies. She was an absolutely wonderful mum and raised her little family like a champion. All five have now found their forever homes, and it's finally Quackers' turn to shine!
Having recently enjoyed a rather fashionable (and much-needed) lion haircut to remove some uncomfortable mats left over from street life, she's currently rocking a rather unique look! Her beautiful medium-length coat will gradually grow back, and in the meantime, she's enjoying being a little more comfortable in her own skin.
She's still rediscovering the joys of cuddles and affection now that those pesky mats are gone. She LOVES head and chin scratches and gentle pats along her back. She can get a little overstimulated, but she's a polite girl who will gently let you know when she's had enough.
Quackers is a sweet, curious little fairy who likes to know exactly what's going on around her. She'll follow you about the house, have a good old chat and regularly remind you that she's absolutely STARVING, despite having a perfectly good bowl of food sitting right there. 🙄
She loves her treats, enjoys being involved in whatever you're doing and is quite happy to supervise your daily activities.
She's not really a lap cat, but she'll happily keep you company nearby. Unless, of course, there's a lovely patch of sunshine streaming through the window. Then all bets are off! You'll find her stretched out on her couch or cat tower, soaking up the rays and watching the world go by.
After everything she's been through, Quackers would love a quiet, calm home with patient humans who will let her settle in at her own pace.
She's not a fan of dogs, thank you very much! She's lived around plenty of other cats, but after years of raising babies and sharing her space, we think she'd quite enjoy being the only feline in the house for a change. A little peace and quiet, and all the attention to herself!
All her vet work is complete, she's up to date with vaccinations and flea/worm treatments, and she's officially ready to pack her bags.
From street survivor to supermum to professional sunbather, Quackers has certainly earned her happily ever after.
Now she just needs some lovely humans to chat to, a comfy spot in the sunshine and someone to boss around for eternity! ❤️🐾
