About Milo
đ Milo's Personality:
Milo is an exceptionally handsome Blue & Tan French Bulldog with a personality that melts hearts. At just three years old, he has already shown us how wonderfully patient, easyâgoing, gentle, and super affectionate he is.
He doesnât bark, he adores kisses and cuddles, and he absolutely loves going for walks - trotting along with that signature Frenchie athleticism đ and a big smile on his face. Milo is adorable in every imaginable way and has quickly become a favourite among our volunteers.
đĄ Milo's Ideal Forever Home:
Milo grew up in a home with two adults and other dogs, so heâs wellâaccustomed to family life and companionship. His ideal home is one that offers calm structure, affection, and plenty of opportunities for him to enjoy life without restriction.
After his upcoming BOAS surgery, we hope Milo will be able to breathe more comfortably, exercise more freely, and embrace a lifestyle filled with adventure, enrichment, and gentle activity.
He would suit adopters who appreciate a sweet, cuddly, lowâbark companion who thrives on human connection and enjoys being part of daily routines.
đ Milo's Rescue Story:
Milo arrived at Sweet Pea through a very reluctant owner surrender - a Brady Bunchâstyle household (K9 kids only) where all the critters simply werenât getting along. His family loved him dearly, but the dynamics werenât right, and they wanted Milo to have the chance at a peaceful, happy life where he could truly flourish.
Since arriving, Milo has shown nothing but kindness, patience, and affection. He has settled beautifully into care and continues to charm everyone he meets.
đ©ș Milo's Medical History:
Milo is scheduled to undergo BOAS surgery on 9 October, a procedure that will help improve his breathing and overall comfort. With this surgery, we hope he will no longer need to live a restrictive lifestyle and can instead enjoy walks, play, and everyday activities with ease.
He has completed all standard vet work while in our care, and once he has recovered from surgery, he will be ready for adoption.
đ More on Milo:
There is something truly special about Milo - a blend of sweetness, resilience, and irresistible charm. He is gentle, affectionate, and endlessly lovable, and heâs ready for a future filled with comfort, joy, and companionship.
Milo will be available for adoption following his surgical procedure, and we cannot wait to see him thrive in a home that treasures him as much as we do.
Medical notes
Milo has Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS), which is caused by anatomical abnormalities common in flatâfaced breeds.
Milo will undergo surgery on October 9, which will treat:
- Stenotic nares (narrow nostrils)
- Elongated soft palate obstructing airflow
- Everted laryngeal saccules pulled into the airway due to increased breathing effort
Surgery is advised when dogs show:
Noisy breathing (stertor)
Exercise intolerance
Respiratory distress
Regurgitation or GI signs
Most dogs show significant improvement in breathing and GI signs.
