About Nelly
🐾 Meet Nelly — 6-Year-Old Dachshund Looking for Her Forever Home ❤️
Nelly is a delightful little 6-year-old Dachshund who came into care through no fault of her own. She may be a little shy at first, but once she gets to know you and feels safe, she becomes a gorgeous little lap dog who simply loves being close to her people. 🥰
Nelly is looking for a special person or family who understands that she will need time, patience and plenty of love while she settles into her new home. She hasn’t had a lot of socialisation with people, so building her confidence will need to happen at her own pace.
🏡 Nelly’s perfect home
Nelly would love a home where:
Someone is home more often than not.
She has a secure, safely fenced yard.
She isn't expected to spend long periods outside on her own — she much prefers being inside in a crate or with her people.
Her new family is patient, caring and willing to give her time to adjust.
She can be the centre of attention and enjoy having her people all to herself.
She is the only pet in the home. A pet-free home is preferred for Nelly so she can have all the attention and support she deserves.
Nelly is crate trained, which will help her settle into a new routine.
While she doesn't mind going for a short stroll, Nelly would much rather curl up on your lap and enjoy some quiet time with her favourite person. ❤️
She is the kind of little dog who wants to be your companion — sitting beside you, snuggling up and simply being part of your day.
Nelly isn't looking for a busy lifestyle or a home where she will be left alone for hours. She is looking for someone who will understand her gentle nature, give her the security she needs and allow her confidence to grow.
If you think you could be the patient, loving person Nelly has been waiting for, she would love the chance to meet you. 🐾❤️
Nelly is Desexed Microchipped Vaccinated and up to date with flea and worm treatments.
Her adoption fee is $500
