About Lucky
Lucky may spend her first few moments trying to disappear under a blanket, but her foster home has already shown us that there's a very different little cat waiting underneath all that uncertainty. Shelter life is overwhelming for her, and when she feels unsure, hiding is simply how she copes.
In foster care, Lucky spent her first couple of weeks keeping to herself and mostly exploring when the house was quiet. Then something started to change. She began approaching for gentle pats, playing with toys while her foster carer was nearby, eating in their company and even stretching out and rolling over once she felt safe enough. Those little changes are a lovely glimpse of how much confidence this young girl can build when she's given time.
Lucky will need a quiet household with a safe room or peaceful area where she can settle without pressure. She prefers gentle & patient people around her and happy to let her make the first move. She may not show everything she has to offer on day one, but at only five months old she is still incredibly young, with so much time to learn that people and home life can feel safe.
She's a beautiful little tortoiseshell who has already shown that trust can grow with the right approach. Lucky doesn't need someone to rush her. She just needs someone willing to give her the same chance she had in foster and let her confidence unfold naturally.
Lucky is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment. If you can open your heart and home to Lucky - or if you're a rescue group able to help - please reach out to us at adoptions@dogshome.com
