About Sooty and Joe
Sooty and Joe may not be blood brothers, but they love hanging out together, and we can't possibly separate them.
These guys were both adopted into a household with lots of other cats. They love each other, and they're cool with the female cats in the household, but neither of them like the other male cat in the house and Sooty has been losing his fluff because of the stress. So they've decided the best thing for them would be to go as a pair to a household where there aren't any other cats.
Sooty is a lavender point Ragdoll who is big on personality. He is very chatty and loves sitting next to you and hanging out. He loves rolling onto his back to get belly rubs. He hates being on the other side of a closed door from his humans - how dare they hold him against his will! He has a super loud purr - he's a bit extra!
Joe (black and white) is a cuddly boy who loves snuggling up in bed with his humans. He loves playing with Da Bird with his humans and chasing his toys around. One of his favourite things is watch the birds and bugs out the window (and if you're lucky you might hear an "ekekek"). He's definitely the more active of the two!
They love each other's company. Sooty loves Joe and will cut him off with his tail while they're walking. They also love playing chasies with each other. If you try to groom Joe, Sooty will loudly protest at Joe's terrible treatment.
Both boys would probably like a quiet environment rather than a noisy family household. Joe in particular can be scared by loud noises and changes in his environment. He'll need some time to settle in to his new home, but will reward you with snuggles and head boops once he knows you're a safe person. Sooty will let him know that everything is OK.
If you're looking for an instant cat family, then these guys are ideal!

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
