About Felix
Introducing Felix!
Felix is a Domestic Short Hair born approx 28th February 2025.
Felix and four other cats were brought into the facility from an awful situation. These cats were found by a housing provider, over a week after their owner moved out & left them behind. They had no one caring for or feeding them and sadly we were too late to save a sixth cat from the property. They were forced to live in their own filth and were clearly terrified of the sitaution they were in. While the cats are now safe with us, the matter has been referred to NSW Police & RSPCA for a multi-agency review & cruelty investigation.
As you can imagine, all five cats were overwhelmed, confused, scared and didn't trust humans whatsoever. Since being with us, all five cats have made incredible progress but our gorgeous Felix has really started to thrive. He has turned into an affectionate young man who purrs and "happy paws" almost as soon as you touch him. While he's still a little confused about what a kiss on the head is, we don't think it will be long before he's asking for them!
Felix is definitely a lap cat in the making, but for now he simply enjoys laying next to you and "making biscuits" on your leg. He has a tendency to roll onto his back to present his tummy and enjoys a gentle belly rub from his favourite people. He's also a very inquisistive boy who enjoys watching the birds & lizards outside the catio.
Felix is incredibly playful and absolutely loves playing with stuffed mice & fish on strings. He also enjoys his cardboard scratch pads & playing with springs.
If you're a food lover, good news!.. you've already got something in common! Felix hasn't met a treat he hasn't loved and will happily devour any food we put in front of him, however if we needed to choose his favourite it would be any fish treat & Dine liquid treats.
As Felix has come from a home with numerous other cats, we believe he would prefer a home with another cat to play with, however he could also grow to love being the spoilt only "child" at home.
While Felix hasn't been tested with children at the facility, we believe he could be suitable to live with children over 6yrs. We would recommend doing a meet & greet with any children in the home to ensure the comfort of all parties.
Felix will be rehomed to a family who will keep him as an inside cat only.
Felix is litter trained and would make a wonderful addition to most quite households.
If you think you could be that furever family for Felix, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
His adoption fee is $270 & this includes his desexing, vaccination and lifetime registration. He is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Felix is currently located in East Maitland.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
