About Tabitha
*In foster care in Ashfield, Sydney*
Little Tabitha came into care from a street colony as a slightly older kitten. Because of her tough start in life and lack of human interaction, she's been on a journey of adjusting to becoming an inside cat, slowly finding comfort in her human as she trusts more and more.
Tabitha is a beautiful kitten whose favourite things (in no particular order) include cuddles, food, sleeping on her foster human’s bed or underneath it, and playing with dressing gowns, wrapping paper and her toys (especially her teaser)!
She's an active little sprite, always exploring, climbing and investigating new sights and smells. She's almost unrecognisable from the timid little girl we first met - all thanks to love and patience, and LOTS of interactive play! She tends to bond with one person before gradually learning to trust others, and she loves other cats :)
Like all Maggie’s pets, Tabitha is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... is with a single person or couple who understand that I'm still a wonderful companion even if I might take a bit of time to adjust. I am looking for a home with humans who are committed to giving me the time to settle in and feel safe. I love other cats so another cat in the home would be even better as they make me feel confident.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Kitten-high! My favourite toys are my toothbrush, anything that smells of catnip, felt toys, pens, hair elastics and scrunchies, string and ribbons, plush toys, and of course my teaser toy! I also adore chasing my foster sisters around and getting up to mischief :)
I eventually need to recharge though, which is when I find a cosy spot on or under the bed and get to snoozin'.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: At this stage I'd prefer a home with adults only or older teens. I'm still learning to relax around people, and a calm sort of home would be my best match.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I grew up with my mother and two sisters in a cat colony and then at a vet hospital before being fostered. Now, I'm living with four female cats and loving it! I'm closest with my foster sister Mistletoe - we love to play and nap together - and I'm good at respecting the other cats' space if they don't feel like playing.
Dogs, no thanks.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
