About Amos
Meet Amos!
Amos is a very shy and gentle boy looking for a patient and understanding adopter who will give him the time and space he needs to settle in at his own pace.
New environments can feel overwhelming for Amos, so his ideal home will be a calm and quiet one where he can take things slowly. His new family will need to let him approach them when he feels ready, without rushing or forcing interaction. With patience, consistency and plenty of reassurance, Amos can gradually begin to feel safe and learn that he can trust the people around him.
Enrichment will also play an important role in helping Amos build his confidence. Hiding spots, interactive toys, scratching posts and food puzzles will give him opportunities to explore, play and engage with his surroundings at his own pace.
Amos may take a little longer than some cats to come out of his shell, but every small step will be a special one. Watching him slowly gain confidence, discover his personality and learn to trust will make those little breakthroughs incredibly rewarding.
Amos is waiting for someone who understands that the best things sometimes take time.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
