Meet Zazu – the 1 yr old resilient young Kelpie with a heart full of potential and the spirit of a true adventurer.
Weighing in at 25kg, Zazu's journey has been marked by both challenges and triumphs, but his story is now on the verge of an exciting new chapter. Found at a young age near an abandoned house, he began life with hardships but has managed to hold onto his gentle and joyful nature. Zazu is eager to find a loving home where he can truly shine. ✨
Despite his early difficulties, Zazu's remarkable intelligence and playful demeanor have remained steadfast. He has thrived in his foster setting, happily cohabiting with a female Kelpie, and is showing how much he relishes interaction and learning. Zazu's keen mind craves structure and engagement, and he blossoms when given the chance to explore and be active. Like many working dogs, Zazu exhibits some young Kelpie behaviors; he sometimes mouths when excited and may bark at trucks or chase moving objects. However, with consistent training, exercise, and mental stimulation, these traits are being gently managed and improved.
Zazu's ideal home would be one that is active and can provide him with the physical and mental outlets he needs. Adoption details
Once you are ready to adopt, please complete the Promising Paws Adoption Application questionnaire below. This is not a contract or agreement of any kind, just an expression of interest in the animal.
We will not authorise meets unless this has been completed and only approved applications may meet the dogs. Once you are approved and have submitted all relevant information, we will organise for you to meet the dog at your home or in a public place. If you have other animals they should please be at the meet.
Before applying, please consider and finalise the following: real estate approval, fence repair if needed, outside shelter areas and look into the dog's breed (e.g. size of dog, diet, temperament, exercise requirements).
Supporting documents required:
Real estate approval or proof of home ownership such as a rates notice;
Photos of your fence and current pets, if applicable.
The dog will be up to date with all vaccinations and worming as at the time of adoption. Any future vaccinations and preventatives will be at the adopter's expense.*
