About Tammie
Tammie is an absolute little angel with two very important loves in life: toys and treats.
Give this young Rottweiler a ball and you'll quickly see her playful side come out. At just over six months old, she still has so much growing, learning and discovering ahead of her, and she's ready to do all of that with a family of her own.
Tammie can be a little unsure when something or someone is new, especially when it comes to being handled, but she warms up beautifully when people give her time. Rather than rushing in for pats, letting her approach first and pairing gentle handling with treats will help her learn that new experiences are something to feel good about.
Her new family can continue building that confidence through positive, reward-based training, gradual introductions to unfamiliar people, places and dogs, and plenty of enrichment to keep her busy. Giving Tammie a comfortable safe space of her own will also help her relax whenever the world feels a bit too much. Being such a food lover should make training together pretty rewarding too.
Tammie is suited to a home with secondary school aged children or older and may be suitable to live with another well matched dog following a successful introduction. She's young, playful and full of potential, and with someone willing to guide her gently through puppyhood, she has everything she needs to grow into a wonderful companion.
No appointment is needed, so come and visit Tammie at our North Melbourne shelter. If you're interested in adopting her, our team can arrange a meet and greet. If you have children or another dog at home, please bring them along so they can meet Tammie too.
