Saffron has a magnificent tail, an impressive amount of floof and a very clear understanding that life is best enjoyed on her own terms. 😂

This gorgeous ginger girl started life on the streets before a determined carer finally convinced her that indoor life had its advantages. She's adjusted beautifully, but she still has a strong appreciation for the great outdoors, so Saffron needs to be strictly indoors - ideally with a secure catio where she can enjoy the sights and smells without going on another adventure.

Saffron isn't an in-your-face cat. She's more of a quiet companion, happy to share your space and gradually become part of your routine. She loves chin scratches, gentle face pats and having her face brushed, and she'll even enjoy a little belly or chest rub - for approximately as long as she decides is appropriate.

When Saffron has had enough, she has the most hilarious little squeaks of outrage. And if you ignore the squeak and keep going, she may give you a very gentle little nip. It's not aggression - it's essentially her saying, "I did warn you." 😂 She's learning to enjoy cuddles, but being held like a baby is still very much off the menu.

Saffron is good with other cats who understand boundaries and aren't jerks. She's untested with dogs and has tolerated her foster carer's five-year-old, but she'd really prefer a quieter home without young children - apparently small humans are terribly stompy and loud.

She's looking for an experienced cat person who understands that some cats don't blossom overnight. Give Saffron patience, respect and the chance to come to you, and you'll have a beautiful, gentle companion who will happily curl up in the bathroom sink and keep you company. ❤️

How am I with dogs?  Untested.

How am I with kids?  I tolerate children, but I'd prefer a quieter home without young kids.

Saffron's adoption fee is $75 which includes desexing, microchipping, parasite prevention, and initial F3 vaccination.
