About Possum
Meet Possum, a gorgeous 3.5-year-old girl with the softest calico-and-white coat, bright green eyes, and the unmistakable energy of a lovable little possum who somehow ended up in cat form. This pocket-sized charmer is looking for her forever tree (and a few devoted humans).
Born in April 2023, this sweet girl has spent her life being thoroughly adored, until her owner was surprised with a new job and long-term travel that means she can’t take Possum with her. We’re helping advertise her on her owner’s behalf in the hope she can move straight from her current home into a new forever home, with no shelter stay in between.
Just like her namesake, Possum is curious, confident, and full of quiet personality. She’s a wonderfully chill girl who is perfectly happy doing her own thing and enjoying some peaceful downtime… until she decides she wants attention (or dinner). Then you’ll know about it! She’s quite the little chatterbox and absolutely loves the sound of her own meow, so expect regular conversations and commentary throughout the day.
When she’s not busy talking, you’ll usually find her curled up somewhere cozy making biscuits, or perched by the window like a tiny, fluffy surveillance expert spying on everything and everyone who passes by. She’s not overly obsessed with toys, but a good spring, a feather wand, or a tall cat tower will definitely catch her interest. True to her possum spirit, she loves a high vantage point and a soft, warm spot to claim as her own.
Possum is incredibly affectionate and loves people. She’s spent time in catteries and is comfortable around other cats and humans, making her a flexible little companion who would settle well into almost any household. She would, however, be happiest in a home without dogs where she can enjoy a calm, relaxed environment and be the star of the show.
If you’re looking for a sweet, cuddly, conversation-loving girl who will fill your home with soft meows, warm cuddles, and quiet companionship, this little Possum is ready to climb into your heart (and your favourite chair).
Possum is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and Located in Middle Park.
Please contact Anna directly on 0457 553 462 if you think you could be her next favourite human.
About Us
Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.
Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.
Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.
As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.
All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.
Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
How You Can Help

We are always in need of foster carers. If you have a safe, loving temporary home and would like to help us care for a cat on their journey to their forever family, please get in touch. The more foster homes we have, the more cats we can save.

Adoption details
We try to make things very easy and straight forward while at the same time making sure we are matching the right cat to the right home.
The first step in the adoption process is a quick chat over the phone to make you are able meet the cats needs and your home is a good fit for the cats personality.
From there we will organize a meet and greet the cats foster home where you will be able to see the cat in action and get a gauge of their personality.
Once you have adopted you new furry feline friend we offer ongoing support and you are welcome to contact us anytime if you have questions, concerns or need advice.
We work hard to make sure that each cat is a good fit for their new home but in the unlikely even that things do not work out we have a 21 day cooling off period and you are more than welcome to return the cat to us during that time.
We will happily refund 50% of the adoption fee or you are welcome to donate this refund to assist with the ongoing cost of the animals care.
