About Boomer
Meet Boomer, a gorgeous Boxer cross who is essentially a great big bundle of love wrapped in a droopy, wiggly and occasionally drooly package.
Boomer is one of those dogs who makes it very easy to fall in love.
He's social, affectionate and loves being around people. Give him some attention and he's delighted to be involved, whether that's getting pats, hanging around with his humans or joining you for whatever the day has planned.
And despite those big Boxer-boy looks, Boomer has some lovely manners tucked underneath all that enthusiasm. He knows how to sit when asked and takes treats gently.
Boomer has previously lived in a home with children aged 6 and 10 and another dog.
He can get a little excited when he's happy to see you and may jump up, particularly around the kids, so he'd love a family who can help him polish up those manners. He's a big boy with an equally big personality, after all!
With his previous canine housemate, Boomer enjoyed a fairly enthusiastic style of play involving lots of jumping around and vocalising. Think less sophisticated garden party, more Boxer wrestling championship. With appropriate introductions and a compatible playmate, Boomer may be happy sharing his home with another dog.
Boomer is looking for a home where he'll be included as part of the family.
He's affectionate, social and wonderfully people-oriented, and after several changes in his living arrangements, we'd really love his next move to be the one that sticks.
His ideal family will be happy to continue his training, give him regular exercise and enrichment, and understand that sharing life with Boomer may occasionally involve wiping a little Boxer drool off something that absolutely did not have drool on it five seconds ago.
In return?
You'll get a friendly, affectionate, gloriously droopy companion who seems pretty convinced that humans are wonderful.
And we have a feeling his future family will be just as convinced that Boomer is pretty wonderful too.

Adoption details
Boomer is being rehomed through Second Chance Animal Rescue's Owner Assisted Rehoming Program. This means he is currently living with his guardian while we support them in finding the right new home for him.
When you submit an adoption application, our team will review your application and forward suitable applications to Boomer's guardian. They will then contact potential adopters to have a chat, answer questions about Boomer and arrange a meet and greet if they feel your home may be a good match.
As Boomer's family know him best, they are actively involved in choosing his new home, with support and guidance from the SCAR team throughout the process.
Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption, and you may not be contacted if your home isn't considered the right match for Boomer.
Our goal is to find Boomer a wonderful home where he can settle in, unpack those magnificent cheeks and get on with being somebody's very loved dog.
