About Bob
Hello there! I’m Bob, and I’m officially accepting applications for my forever family.
APPLICATION PROCESS APPLIES FOR BOB

My Ideal Home:
• Familiarity and understanding of my breed traits would be highly valued.
• I’ll need daily exercise — walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy.
• Ongoing training and guidance with basic manners will help me grow into a well-behaved companion.
• I want to be part of the family indoors — not left outside without interaction.
• As a social and playful pup, I may really enjoy attending doggy daycare.
• I absolutely LOVE water and would be thrilled to have my own clam pool to splash and relax in.
• Secure fencing (including no gaps holes or areas I could squeeze through) is essential to keep me safe.
• A good-quality dry food diet will help support my dental health.
• I’ll need regular grooming to keep my coat healthy, but I’ve never experienced it before. I had my first grooming session recently and did okay! My new family will need to find a patient, gentle groomer who understands I’ll need time, patience and positive experiences to build my confidence.
• Most importantly, I’m looking for lots of love and attention from my family.
• Because I may have had a sheltered start and can be shy in new situations, continued socialisation will really help build my confidence. I’m already becoming braver at the shelter!
• A calm, gentle dog companion may suit me, as boisterous dogs can be overwhelming. I’ll benefit from gradual, positive socialisation.
• I’d love a friendly dog playmate — or, if I’m your only dog, regular opportunities to socialise with other dogs.
• I was unsure around cats at the shelter and may become more inquisitive as my confidence grows. If I join a home with a cat, they’ll need to be dog-savvy and introductions must be gradual and well managed.
• A quiet home with no young children (under 12) would suit me best, as I’m easily startled and need a calm environment where I can feel safe and secure.
My Paw-some Perks:
• I’m very social and happy to hang out with other friendly dogs — total social butterfly!
• I am learning to love attention, cuddles, hugs, kisses and head scratches, and I’m quite partial to snoozing on the couch with my humans.
• I walk nicely on lead for a young dog, and with daily walks I’ll only keep improving.
• I’m gentle and placid in nature, and I’ve had some basic obedience training — I’m generally a well-mannered dog.
Training/Support Needs:
• It appears I have had very little exposure to the outside world. Everything is quite new to me, so I’ll need a patient family to gently socialise me and show me that the world isn’t such a scary place.
• I’m quite shy when I first meet new people, so I’ll need a family who will give me time and space to settle in at my own pace, without pressure.
• I’ve never been allowed indoors before, but I would truly love to be included as part of the family and spend time inside with my people.
Please Note: You’ll only be able to meet Bob if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and any dogs currently in the home must attend as well
PLEASE NOTE: Shelter staff make the final decision based on determining if the applicant can meet the animals needs (lifestyle, home environment, experience) Our goal is to ensure a permanent home that sets both the animal and new family up for success.
Shelter staff reserve the right to deny an adoption if they determine the animal's specific needs do not match the applicant's lifestyle.
