About Checkers
Meet Checkers
Don't let her pretty medium-length coat fool you, Checkers isn't just a beautiful face! This confident young lady knows exactly what she wants out of life, and she has absolutely no hesitation in making her wishes known.
Checkers carries herself like the queen she is, strutting through life with confidence, curiosity, and plenty of personality. She's the kind of cat who likes to be involved in whatever is happening around the house and is always ready to remind her humans that she is, in fact, the most important member of the family.
With her charming nature and self-assured attitude, Checkers quickly wins over everyone she meets. She enjoys affection on her terms, loves having an audience to admire her, and is more than ready to take charge of her new kingdom.
Checkers is looking for a forever home that will appreciate her big personality and give her the love, comfort, and attention she deserves. In return, she'll provide endless entertainment, loyal companionship, and a daily reminder that life is simply better when you're living with royalty.
If you're ready to welcome a confident feline ruler into your home, Checkers is ready to claim her throne and reign over her new family. 👑🐾🖤🤍

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
