About Susie
Meet Susie, a delightful young pup bound to steal your heart. Although initially a tad shy when meeting new people, Susie's inquisitive nature shines through as she quickly warms up, revealing her sweet and eager personality. Having lived with another large breed dog, Susie is no stranger to canine companionship, but she'll appreciate a thoughtful introduction to ensure she finds the perfect match in her future furry siblings.
Ideal for those keen on nurturing a young dog's development, Susie's new family should be enthusiastic about her journey in blossoming into her fullest potential. With encouragement and continued socialization and by offering guided training and plenty of positive interactions. She has lived in a home with primary school aged children in her previous home.
With her eager personality and readiness to learn, combined with her impressive commands such as sit, shake, and lay down, Susie is sure to delight. Her love for fetch is charming; she plays politely, always returning the toy, ready for the next round. Loud noises and loud voices can be a little scary for Susie.
For anyone searching for a loving young dog ready to find her place in the world, Susie offers an excellent opportunity and promises boundless love and companionship in return. Stay tuned as we continue to discover her charming personality and delightful quirks, knowing she could be the perfect addition to the right home.

Adoption details
The adoption fee for all animals is $79 + all veterinary costs which are determined once your animal is booked in for desexing and will be discussed with you at that time.
We encourage potential adopters to meet specific animals. If you already have a dog and wish to adopt another, we require a 'Meet and Greet' session at the facility to ensure compatibility. Please contact us to make an appointment.
All animals adopted from our facility come:
• Desexed
• Vaccinated
• Microchipped
• Vet-checked
• Lifetime registered in NSW
Please note that desexing (if required) is only performed after adoption, which may result in a delay in taking your new pet home, depending on vet availability. Staff will contact you once an appointment is booked, we kindly ask that you personally collect your new pet from the vet clinic to ensure they can begin their recovery comfortably in their new home.
For enquiries or to meet or adopt, please visit our website https://newcastle.nsw.gov.au/living/pets-and-animals/lost-and-found/lost-pets-in-ranger-care/animal-rescue-enquiry. Please provide the impound number listed next to the animal's name when enquiring.
For foster enquiries we will refer to one of our rescue partners where processes and approvals are at their discretion, please enquire to discuss further.
We do not offer trial periods for adoptions. Unless surrendered and the history is known, dogs in our care have not been tested with cats, so adopters should consider this carefully if there are cats in the household.
