About Chico & Fernando
Meet Chico & Fernando, two playful brothers who are happiest side-by-side! They may have different personalities, but these two are the perfect little team. From chasing each other around the house to simply hanging out nearby, they love having each other for company and reassurance.
Chico is the shyer of the pair and has made wonderful progress in foster care. While he can still be cautious around new people, with time he is learning that people can be trusted and now enjoys pats from his trusted people on his own terms. He's even started giving his foster carers adorable little headbutts against their legs when he's asking for attention.
Fernando is the confident little smooch who helps Chico feel safe. He loves greeting his foster carer, happily soaking up pats and making the sweetest little air biscuits. He can't quite manage a proper meow, so instead he communicates with hilarious little squeaks!
They're wonderful with other cats and would happily join a multi-cat household, but these two are more than enough company for each other and would be very happy being adopted together as a pair.
These gorgeous brothers are looking for a patient, understanding and experienced cat owner who is comfortable giving shy cats time to settle in and build trust. In return, they'll bring plenty of playtime, purrs, squeaks and companionship to their forever home.

Adoption details
All animals adopted through Out of the Woods Rescue are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated and health-checked. We aim to match each animal with a home that suits their needs and personality.
Here’s how our adoption process works:
Submit an application – This helps us get to know you, your household and what you're looking for in a pet.
Phone chat – If your application looks like a potential fit, one of our team members will contact you for a casual phone conversation to answer questions and discuss the animal in more detail.
Meet and greet – You’ll meet the animal in their foster home or another agreed location. If everyone agrees it’s a good match, we can proceed to adoption.
Adoption paperwork and payment – Our adoption fees cover desexing, microchipping, vaccination and parasite treatment.
Once adopted, the animal becomes part of your family. We're still here for post-adoption support if you ever need any help.
We’re committed to ethical adoptions and reserve the right to decline applications if we feel the match isn’t in the best interest of the animal.
