About Beckham
Meet Beckham 🐾
He is a gorgeous young dog who has been waiting far too long for his forever family. His foster dad says he is a handsome young dog who is highly trainable.
He is a medium sized dog weighing 23kg. Beckham is described as being a bundle of energy with lots of enthusiasm and personality. While he looks like he is a highly energetic dog in public, at home he is able to relax, switch off and hang out with you.
He has his basic training sorted. He is very food motivated which makes him very trainable. He has even been to dog obedience a few times which he really enjoys. Making his brain work to show his skills, really helps him to focus and learn how to be more relaxed in public.
He loves his toys. Like… really, really loves them.
Squeaky toys are his absolute favourite.
Water play? Yes please.
Walks? Even better.
Car rides? He's up for the adventure.
He is a confident boy and pretty switched on. His strengths:
🐕 respects boundaries (baby gates are no problem)
🐕 crate trained
🐕 house trained
🐕 loves other dogs (some dogs do not love his energy so careful introductions are a must)
🐕 he is happy to entertain himself with toys if an only dog
His ideal home?
🤎 inside/outside privileges
🤎 One who provide ongoing training and mental stimulation
🤎 no cats or pocket pets
🤎 someone ready to take him on adventures and give him the love and time he deserves

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Cats:
If you are interested in one of our cats or kittens, please click on the green "Enquire about ...", button, tell us a bit about yourself and the home you can offer the cat, and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
