About Arlo
Arlo is a male Domestic Short Hair available for adoption in Upper Beaconsfield (Melbourne, Victoria).
Arlo is a calm, gentle cat with a quiet, easygoing charm.
He's happy in his own company during the day, and always glad of a pat when he wanders by.
Come evening, he finds his way onto the couch beside you, or into your lap, and settles in for the night.
A little about Arlo:
🐾 Loves stretching out in the sunniest spot in the house
🐾 Keeps a close eye on the birds and wildlife outside the window
🐾 Can't resist chasing a moving light across the floor
🐾 Melts for a good scratch behind the ears
🐾 Has settled happily into life as an indoor cat
Arlo's days have a gentle rhythm. Mornings and evenings are spent with his family, and in between he follows the sun from one favourite spot to the next.
From a high, sunny perch he watches everything going on, inside and out.
A flicker of light on the wall is all it takes to bring out his playful side, and he's off chasing it across the room.
He shows his affection in quiet, steady ways. He'll come over for a pat during the day, ask for a head scratch, and curl up next to you on the couch or bed at night.
With new people, Arlo is content to stay on his sunny patch of couch and take things in. Once he's had time to get to know you, he'll come and say hello and happily accept a pat or a cuddle.
Arlo has come a long way. He was a shy cat when his family adopted him, and he's grown into a relaxed, affectionate companion.
He's taken a lot in his stride along the way, from three house moves to welcoming two babies into the family.
Arlo would flourish in a calm household, with guardians young or old who'll enjoy a relaxed companion.
A home with a few sunny windows and a view of the garden would be right up his alley.
A roomy, open litter tray suits him best, as he likes plenty of space to get himself comfortable.
Now and then a sudden surprise can still give him a little start, and he settles again quickly.
Picture a winter afternoon with Arlo stretched out in a patch of sun, eyes half closed, ears twitching at the birds outside.
Then, as the evening winds down, a soft, warm weight settling in against you on the couch.
Arlo is a gentle, easygoing companion with plenty of quiet love to give, and he's ready for a calm home of his own.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
