👧 Great with children – Blueberry is gentle and friendly with kids and could happily share her home with children over 12 years who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs.

Meet Blueberry 💙
At 2 years and 4 months old and weighing just 18kg, Blueberry is a sweet Staffy Bull Terrier with a lovely balance of relaxed and energetic. She spends a good portion of her day sleeping and relaxing, but when she heads outside, she has plenty of energy to burn, particularly during the first 20 minutes!

Blueberry is a gentle, curious girl who is friendly with people without being overly affectionate with strangers. Once she knows you, she’s happy to enjoy some attention and absolutely loves a good belly rub or butt scratch. She’ll happily jump up on the couch for some cuddles too, although she’s very good at letting you know when she’s had enough — she’ll simply wander off and have some alone time.

She seems like a dog who is still figuring out what it means to play. She’ll happily chase a ball or stick when given some space on a long line, but toys aren’t really her thing at the moment. We think there’s a sweet, playful side to Blueberry that may come out as she becomes more comfortable and learns how much fun toys can be!

Outside the home, Blueberry enjoys getting out and about and walks reasonably well on lead, although she does tend to pull at least a little. She is particularly interested in cats and will react strongly when she sees one, so her new family will need to be prepared to manage this safely. She also reacts to other dogs on walks, although she is generally much easier to distract and move away from them.

Blueberry is very food motivated, which should be a great asset for her ongoing training. She particularly enjoys meat chews — although she can get a little too enthusiastic and may try to swallow them whole, so she’ll need to be supervised with chews!

At home, Blueberry has shown that she can settle beautifully. She is happy in an apartment environment, is well toilet trained and has coped with being left alone for longer periods without separation anxiety or destructive behaviour. She does look quite sad when left, though, so we think she’d be happiest with people who are home more often than not and can provide plenty of companionship.

Blueberry is a lovely, gentle girl who doesn’t need to be the centre of attention every second of the day. She’d be perfectly happy snoozing nearby, joining you for an adventure outside, enjoying some belly rubs and then heading off for a nap.

She’s still learning who she is and what she enjoys, and we’d love to see her find a family who will give her the time and patience to discover that.
