Chester

Chester is a 1-year-and-6-month-old boy who may look a little serious at first, but underneath that stocky exterior is a wonderful love bug! Chester was quite shut down and scared when he first arrived at the shelter, but after just a few days in foster care, his true personality started to shine through.

Chester loves being with his people and will happily follow you around the house. He enjoys cuddling, sitting on your lap and sleeping at your feet at night. He is also quite the conversationalist and will chirp away while enjoying his pats.

Chester is a gentle, quieter boy who prefers relaxing and spending time with his person rather than playing or exploring. He can occasionally become overstimulated by pats and may give a little nip if a hand moves too quickly. His foster carer has found his limits are easy to learn, and giving him a little space when he has had enough keeps things positive.

Chester would ideally go to a home with another friendly, social cat, or be adopted alongside another cat from the shelter. Having a confident feline companion may help him continue to build his confidence and settle into his new home.

Chester has come a long way from the very frightened and shut-down cat who first arrived at the shelter. With patience, understanding and plenty of love, he has shown what a sweet, affectionate companion he can be.

Chester is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment.
