About Bruiser - 4 Month Old Kelpie
Bruiser is a gorgeous 4 month old male Kelpie with the sweetest temperament, floppy ears and eyes that will melt your heart! He is a loving and affectionate boy who loves being around his people, following you around to see what you’re up to and curling up beside you for a cuddle and a nap.
Bruiser is a cheeky little character who loves chewing his toys, wrestling and playing with his foster family’s resident dog. He is also enjoying his walks and discovering the world around him. Most of the time he is a sleepy, cuddly puppy, with the occasional burst of energy thrown in!
✅ He is a quick learner and has already learnt to sit and is toilet trained
✅He loves his people and is eager to learn.
✅Continue his training and help him build confidence around other dogs, as he can currently become excited and bark when dogs pass by or when he sees them on walks.
✅Still learning to sleep independently and may need some patience while settling into his new home.
✅Not yet been assessed with cats or children.
✅ Bruiser would suit a loving, active family
✅ Secure fenced yard.
His adoption fee is $800 which includes desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
He is in foster care in Newcastle area, NSW. Since not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He will need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he's 5 to 6 months old.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal cheques.
