About Cash
Meet Cash, an excitable and sweet-natured greyhound with a zest for life and a love for people that's truly infectious. Warm-hearted and affectionate, Cash seeks a family who will appreciate his lively spirit and cuddly ways. His love for human companionship means he adores being surrounded by people, and he never hesitates to share his affection with those he meets.
Cash's playful enthusiasm is framed by his desire to explore his surroundings, needing to satisfy his busy body nature before he can fully relax. He enjoys his daily walks and, as an only dog, tends to walk calmly on a loose lead. He can, however, become eager and pull ahead when he's part of a group. His excitement when meeting new dogs can sometimes be a little overzealous and rude, and he’s still learning the ropes of canine socialization, so patience and guidance will be key.
When it comes to mealtimes, Cash is particularly serious, displaying food aggressiveness toward other dogs but showing respect and sweetness with people. Cash thrives best as the only canine member of his family so that he can soak up every cuddle and every bit of attention that comes his way. He’s not a fan of confinement or car rides but provide him with a small yard to survey and daily walks, and he’ll be content.
Ideally, Cash's new home will be free of pocket pets or cats, as his curious nature can sometimes be overwhelming for smaller animals. He is well-suited to families with children aged 5 and over, providing the perfect balance of playful energy and gentle affection.

Medical notes
Has had a dental clean recently. This clean resulted in his 2 upper canine teeth being removed. He is all healed up now and doing well. The rest of his teeth will need to be monitored annually due to the amount of wear on them. Currently no other teeth are causing issues.
Adoption details
Step 1: Please contact Anna Rogers, Dog colony supervisor (anna.rogers@tafesa.edu.au) for an application form.
Step 2: Return the completed application form to Anna Rogers. Once we receive your completed application form along with a minimum of 5 photos of your property showing various views of your backyard covering gates, fences, shelter areas for the greyhound and any other area (i.e. inside the house) the greyhound will be residing in. This is so we can assess your property as safe and suitable for a greyhound and match you to the dog that best suits your environment/lifestyle.
Step 3: We will match you with the dog best suited to your situation and lifestyle.
Step 4: A meet in greet will occur with all family members including any existing pet dogs. If everyone gets along and the application is successful, the dog will then be collected at an agreed later date.
Step 5: Collect the dog and shower them with love!
All the greyhounds up for adoption are desexed, microchipped, wormed and vaccinated. The dogs also have had regular dental checks and cleans.
All the dogs come with:
- their lead & collar,
- muzzle (if they require one),
- full medical history since they arrived at Tafe,
- desexing and vaccination certificates,
- a winter jacket,
- a blanket that smells of them and,
- a week's supply of dry dog food for you to transition the dog to the food of your choice.
