Bonnie

Bonnie is a sweet-natured, exuberant female Shar-Pei who is looking for a loving forever family to make her a true part of the home. Indoors is where she thrives best, happily involving herself in all daily household activities. She is an incredibly smart girl and because she is eager to please and highly food-motivated, she would absolutely love to continue her training for high-value treats! Bonnie can be a little unsure in new environments or with close handling, so she needs a patient family who will let her go slow, read her comfort level with "consent breaks," and let her approach new people at her own pace. Her future family will also need to commit to ongoing training for her loose-lead walking, impulse control, and keeping "four paws on the floor" when she gets excited. To keep her clever mind active, she adores a wide variety of toys rotated regularly so they never get boring. Bonnie is dog-social but can be a bit forward upon first greeting, meaning she would do best either as an only dog or paired with a calm, social canine companion.
